"Our educational initiatives can greatly improve the patient experience. An engaged and informed patient who has experienced quality communication throughout their clinical interaction will experience better clinical outcomes. That means fewer claims, which reduces overall costs for our customers."

Biography

With his background in business, malpractice law, and dispute resolution, plus 10 years in clinical practice in radiology, Robert’s deep understanding of risk management and patient safety is invaluable to his role as director of education. Robert travels the country, giving presentations and offering seminars for clients and prospects, and for local, regional and national health care trade organizations. For clients, he serves as a resource to help them improve the quality of the patient experience and clinical outcomes, in order to reduce patient injuries and subsequent malpractice claims.

After working for many years in medicine and on the plaintiff side of malpractice cases, Robert is happy to have moved to the “good side” of claims—he’s devoted to supporting physicians, educating them on patient safety and risk management so they can avoid claims whenever possible. Robert appreciates Constellation’s progressive and proactive approach to supporting physicians through the dramatic change occurring in the health care industry. He is proud to be a U.S. Army Combat Veteran—he served as an aircraft crew member and paratrooper. When he’s not speaking or teaching, Robert enjoys pheasant hunting in Hosmer, SD, scalloping in Crystal River, FL, and University of Georgia football in Athens, GA. (Go Dawgs!)
