CATEGORY: On Demand
RECORDED: Friday, November 22, 2019
Laurie C. Drill-Mellum, MD, MPH and Liz Ferron, MSW, LICSW
There’s a painful fact about medicine today, one practitioners and health care organizations are often hesitant to talk about: physicians choose to end their lives at a rate approximately twice the rest of the general population. Constellation and VITAL WorkLife are teaming up to present this webinar to help senior leaders and health care organizations understand their role in enhancing physician wellbeing and responding to physicians in need.
Presenter bios: Laurie Drill-Mellum brings over 30 years as a practicing physician to help guide Constellation’s work of supporting health care organizations in order to free physicians and other clinicians to focus on their mission: to help, to heal and to serve. As an MD with a master’s degree in public health, she brings a physician’s perspective as well as that of patients and family members to her role as As Constellation’s chief medical officer.
Liz Ferron is a Senior Consultant and Healthcare Practice Lead with VITAL WorkLife. Liz is a licensed independent clinical social worker, having received her MSW degree in clinical social work from the University of Minnesota. She is an experienced trainer and educator in the areas of change management, stress management and conflict resolution focusing on the health care sector to support physicians, advanced practitioners and nurses.
