Heather Meyer joined Constellation’s risk mitigation and response team in 2019, bringing with her extensive leadership and knowledge of claim and risk management in health care systems and physician practices. Heather brings a breadth of insight and a keen understanding of the inherent risks within the complex setting of health care; as an RN, she worked in surgical services, the ICU and the emergency department in addition to holding management responsibilities. Most recently, Heather worked as a National Director of Risk Management Operations and a Risk Management Officer, providing enterprise risk management and insurance/risk financing oversight to a large health care system. She applies this extensive experience to advise health care clinicians and organizations on how to reduce their MPL risks and move forward with confidence.
As a Senior Risk Consultant, Heather helps customers identify and problem solve MPL risk management concerns—offering guidance and recommendations to mitigate and control their risk of claims. Her strategic approach to managing risk and harm events, coupled with her knowledge of high-reliability principles and cause-analysis investigations, makes Heather a trusted partner.
Outside of work, Heather enjoys reading, traveling and spending time outdoors—hiking, camping and boating.
