With her background as an attorney working in medical liability defense, Emily Clegg brings a great appreciation for the work of health care clinicians and care teams. In her law practice, Emily saw first-hand the stress and pain for everyone involved in harm events that become lawsuits. She joined Constellation® and its growing portfolio of medical professional liability (MPL) insurance companies in 2014 looking for a way to help.
As Senior Director of Risk Mitigation and Response, Emily works to bring Constellation’s customers proactive risk solutions and peace of mind. Her team partners with customers to reduce MPL risk with data-driven assessments, tools and strategies. When patient or resident harm events happen, Emily’s team helps customers act quickly and compassionately with best practices from Constellation’s HEAL® Prepare Toolkit. Emily finds it rewarding to help care teams navigate harm events in a better way.
In her free time, Emily balances her life with escapes to the red rock desert of St. George, Utah. She spends her days there hiking, biking, or paddle boarding with her family and dogs.
