Ryan has over 20 years of broad-based insurance and global risk transfer experience, with depth in underwriting, claim and actuarial science, that he brings to his role as President and CEO of Constellation. Ryan joined the company as Chief Actuary in 2017, was promoted to Senior Vice President of Insurance Operations in 2020 and was appointed as President and CEO in 2021. He also serves on Constellation’s board of directors.
Under Ryan’s leadership, Constellation and its growing portfolio of like-minded partner companies continue to advance toward their strategic vision while ensuring that customers have protections in place for their business and health care teams. Ryan and his team live by the company’s purpose: to champion all those who devote their lives to health care … to the essential work of enhancing health—and life. With Ryan at the helm, Constellation understands the significance of serving clients well by delivering innovative solutions to everyday challenges, creating value for policyholder owners, providing compassionate consultation after unexpected outcomes, and more. Improving health care by reducing risk for care teams across the country is an achievable goal that Ryan has set for his talented team, who he believes can make a difference, together.
As for his spare time, it’s mostly spent with his wife and two boys, biking around the Twin Cities constantly yelling, “Stay to the right, kids!” Plus, carpooling to soccer practice and hiking the great parks in Minnesota when it’s not minus 15 degrees out. He and his family love traveling for vacations, but at the same time, there’s nothing better he says, than a campfire and beverages with those we know and love best.
